“Why can’t customers pick tomorrow?” The earliest selectable date isn’t arbitrary — it’s the result of your own settings stacked together. Here’s the formula and some real examples.
Earliest date = your enabled Delivery Days − Blackout dates + Preparation/Processing days, then rolled past the Cut-off time.
Where these live:
- Delivery Days: Shipping → Manage Delivery Availability → Delivery Days
- Blackout dates: Shipping → Shipping Restriction & Tagging → Blackout Dates
- Preparation/Processing: Shipping → Set Up Preparation Time (Hour Wise / Day Wise; plus Process Orders On Non-Working Days and Day Wise Processing Period)
- Cut-off: Shipping → Time Slots → Cut-off Time
Worked examples from real stores:
- Fridays-only store: With only Friday enabled, a customer shopping Sun/Mon/Tue sees the nearest Friday; shopping Wed–Sat rolls to the following Friday.
- 7-day processing: With processing set to 7 days, an order placed Thursday before the cut-off delivers the following Thursday — same weekday, next week.
- Next-day + cut-off: With 1 processing day and an 11 AM cut-off, ordering before 11 AM shows the next day; after 11 AM it rolls to the day after, at that day’s first morning slot.
If the earliest date looks “weird,” it’s these four settings interacting — adjust Delivery Days or trim Preparation days to bring it closer.
