Occasionally an order lands with a delivery date that’s already in the past. The usual cause is a stale cart, and the intended behavior is meant to prevent it — here’s what’s going on.
Why it happens: The customer selected a valid date earlier, left without completing the purchase, and finished the order later (an abandoned/stale checkout). The originally-selected date carried over and is now in the past.
How it behaves now: When a customer returns to the cart, an outdated or invalid date is disabled automatically so they’re prompted to pick a new one. As a belt-and-braces step, if a past date ever slips through, the safest move is to confirm the delivery date directly with the customer before fulfilling.
What to do now:
- For any affected order, reach out to the customer to reconfirm the intended date.
- Keep Delivery Date Required on so new selections are enforced at the cart.
If still stuck: Send the order number and we’ll check whether the date came from an abandoned checkout — reach us at support.
