The currency converter / currency dropdown won’t appear on your storefront until two things are true: you’re on the plan that includes it, and the app is actually installed and enabled. Here’s how to get it live.
- Check your plan first — this is the most common cause. The currency converter is a paid feature available on the Advanced Plan ($5.99/month). If you’re on a lower plan, the switcher simply won’t render, no matter how the widget is configured. Open the app, go to the plan/billing section, and upgrade to Advanced.
- Confirm the app is still installed. Go to Shopify Admin → Apps and make sure AJ GeoLocation is listed. If it isn’t, reinstall it.
- Make sure the app is enabled in your theme. Open Apps → AJ GeoLocation, then use the Enable button (this sends you to the theme editor). In the theme editor, toggle GeoLocation+Currency Converter on and click Save.
- Confirm the switcher is set to display. In Currency Converter Setting → Display, check that Desktop and/or Mobile are enabled so the widget shows on the devices you expect.
Once you’re on the Advanced Plan ($5.99/month) and the app is enabled, the currency switcher will appear on your storefront.
